Digital that Delivers programme
Digital that Delivers is a roadmap of grants helping Irish tourism businesses boost their digital presence and stay ahead of the times.

Helping you with the Digital that Delivers programme
Our team of professionals have helped several Irish businesses boost their digital presence through this programme.

What is the goal of the Digital that Delivers programme?
Fáilte Ireland believes that the Digital that Delivers programme will support and promote the development of a more resilient and competitive visitor experiences sector, sustaining Ireland as a high-quality and competitive tourism destination. The overall purpose of the programme is to help tourism businesses to better adopt digital technologies in line with the digital evolution of the industry, and operate more efficiently.
How much are the grants worth?
The amount depends on how much help your business needs. This will be determined by the project manager you are assigned to from the programme. The grants usually range from €2,500-€5500 or more if needed.
What is the application process for the grants?
What is the purpose of the grants?
The goal of these grants is to help you improve your online presence and visibility to help boost the tourism industry.
How can you avail of these grants?
A first campaign has already been run to a certain number of selected businesses and they will run a second campaign to another group of businesses soon. To request more information from the people who are running the programme, send an email digital.delivers@failteireland.ie
What happens after you submit the Expression of Interest form?
Once completed the “expression of interest” phase, the selected candidates will go through a “digital maturity review” by Fáilte Ireland’s specialists. Following this review, a unique roadmap will be created for each applicant, outlining the precise work streams to be followed.
How does the project coordinator help you throughout the process?
Once the roadmap of services has been created and approved for an applicant, the programme organisers assign a dedicated project coordinator to each applicant to ensure they have a smooth journey at every stage. The project coordinator offers guidance and mentoring and can help solve any problems that evolve while completing each stage of the roadmap.
How does the project coordinator make sure the work was done properly?
The project coordinator will at times request data from visitors. The different types of information they may request include “type of visitor (local, domestic, overseas)”, “time of booking”, “visitor demographic”, how the visitor found your business and more ways. Our team at Mamma Marketing send monthly reports to our clients that include this information, and we can include any other necessary information requested by your dedicated project coordinator.

What are these grants aimed to be used for?
The programme encourages eligible businesses to improve their online presence on all fronts, in the following order.
They team behind this programme have made a roadmap of tasks each business should follow which starts with the one-time basic tasks, and ends with the advanced tasks that are only worth doing once the basics are done properly. We follow a similar process in working with small businesses by following our three-stage process which you can learn about throughout our website. See our different stages.

The roadmap supported by grants:
An efficient booking system for your experiences
The programme helps small businesses involved in tourism improve, install and launch booking systems for experiences to be paid and/or reserved online, that can be easily used and reserved online. There is a list of recommended booking systems by ‘Digital that Delivers’.
Improving the design and user experience of the website
Nothing is perfect. The digital that delivers grants are being used to help businesses improve their websites. Websites may need a full revamp or just a few tweaks in terms of design and functionality, especially for mobile devices.
Implement Digital Marketing Strategies
When the once-off basics (above) are complete, your business is ready for ongoing marketing strategies. The main marketing strategy to invest in nowadays is to improve visibility on Google by implementing SEO on your website, also known as Search Engine Optimisation. Other important marketing strategies include social media marketing, targeted advertising, video marketing & more.
Improving content on the website, social media, etc
Businesses eligible for the digital that delivers programme are encouraged to use the grants available to improve and promote their content. This includes photography, videography, blog posts, FAQs, case studies and anything else people can watch, read or listen to on your website, social media or other platforms where your business is found online.
Implementing Data Analytics, Data Tracking & Insights
Once your website is being found by tourists, it’s important to know what they are doing on your website. The digital that delivers programme supports businesses in installing and managing advanced data measurement tools like Google Tag Manager, Data Studio & Google Analytics 4. These tools help businesses improve the user experience of their website with the goal of turning more website visitors into paying customers.
